BIG-IP Configuration Management with Ansible

As the applications space continues to rapidly advance, the DoD is moving quickly to adopt an Automation and Orchestration strategy to help configure, manage, secure, and deploy both modern and traditional applications along with their data. F5 users can automate and orchestrate BIG-IP environments using Ansible through a series of integrations with the F5 BIG-IP API-called modules. These modules leverage the full API support implemented on F5 BIG-IP hardware and virtual platforms.
Join F5 and Ansible experts for a hands-on lab where you will get real-world experience with F5 technology. The lab will focus on setting up/configuring playbooks, adding nodes to F5 BIG-IP, adding a load balancing pool, and adding members to a pool on F5.
During the lab, attendees will learn:
- How Ansible F5 modules enable most common use cases
- Automating the initial configurations on the BIG-IP like DNS, NTP etc.
- Automation to Network on the BIG-IP (VLANS, Self-IPs)
- Automated deployment of HTTP and HTTPS applications
- Managing virtual-servers, pools, monitors, and other configuration objects
