Identity – One Critical Element of CISA’s Zero Trust Maturity Model 2.0

August 22, 2023 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm

When the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released its Zero Trust Maturity Model Version 2.0 in April, it identified access management as a core function within the Identity Pillar. Identity is the very first of five such pillars, and brings the need for privileged access management into clear focus.

Identity is defined by CISA as “an attribute or set of attributes that uniquely describes an agency user or entity, including non-person entities.” Maturity Model 2.0 goes further, defining and distinguishing between four different maturity levels that agencies may fall within under current access management practices. This provides a framework for agencies that need to strengthen their access management as part of their zero trust architecture implementation.

Join us as thought leaders from government and industry discuss the new access management functions within the Maturity Model and the tools that can be used to improve your agency’s privileged access management.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define the four levels of identity maturity to identify your organization’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Review ways to simplify the access model for implementing privileged access management
  • Delineate the elements of access governance
  • Outline mechanisms for effective policy enforcement
