6th Annual SmallSat & Space Access Summit

June 7, 2023 @ 8:00 am June 8, 2023 @ 5:00 pm

There are efforts among leaders across DoD to embrace more agile ways to buy satellites in order to make U.S. systems more resilient to threats. A key component of this strategy is the transition to smaller satellites that can be built and launched within a three-year period, compared to the decade (or in some cases longer) needed for traditional satellites. As DoD looks to embrace a more agile satellite procurement strategy, it has become clear that SmallSats will be a critical component towards meeting U.S. military needs for space-based systems.

Leaders from across DoD, the Federal Government, and commercial industry will highlight the accomplishments and developments of the last year, as well as discuss the challenges faced in building an agile and reliable space architecture that includes the proliferation of small satellite systems. A panel of experts will also convene to share their perspectives on the critical role that artificial intelligence and edge computing will play in shaping the future of the US space strategy, as well as the technologies and policies necessary to maintain a competitive and strategic advantage in the space domain.

Attendees of DSI’s 6th Annual SmallSat & Space Access Summit will have the opportunity to directly engage with leaders and experts across the space enterprise in a robust discussion about the bold innovation and action that will enhance small spacecraft capabilities and assure US space domain dominance.

DSI’s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits’ content and focus areas, and we will assemble the most respected minds in human and technical analysis from space leaders to key policymakers across both military and civilian offices. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers.

Topics of Discussion:
  • Embracing SmallSat Technology to Enhance US Space Resiliency
  • Delivering Space-Based Capabilities to the Joint Warfighter through LEO SmallSat Constellations
  • Unifying US Space Operations and SATCOM Capabilities for Continued US Space Domain Dominance
