Analyzing the election results of Super Tuesday
March 6, 2024 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Super Tuesday is the election day when the greatest number of states hold their primaries or caucuses, and the most delegates are awarded to the presidential candidates in both parties. Historically, it is one of the defining moments in the race for the presidential nomination. A decisive win for a candidate can virtually end the race while a tie between two or more candidates can extend the contest to the convention itself.
On March 6, Governance Studies at Brookings held a virtual event with Senior Fellow Elaine Kamarck and a panel of experts to discuss the results from Super Tuesday and what they mean for the nomination race.
