Join us for a riveting conversation with best-selling author and Pulitzer Prize winner Gretchen Morgenson about her latest work, These are the Plunderers: How Private Equity Runs – and Wrecks – America, investigating the thirty-year history of corporate takeovers in the US and private equity’s increasing dominance through greed and pillaging. Gretchen and co-author Joshua Rosner expose how the biggest players in the industry buy companies, load them with debt, and then bleed them of assets and profits. All while prosecutors and regulators stand idle as workers, consumers, and the economy suffer in the aftermath.
